Need help with font size?

My computer shut down on me for some reason. When I got it working again, all of my font sizes shrunk to barely readable. What can I do to get my webpages looking normal again?

Update:

Not sure how to check coding. Hey, MD is my alma mater. Fear the Turtle!!!!

Update 2:

Thanks, I figured it out. Just had to go to page and then change the text size:)

Update 3:

Thought I fixed it. Now some words are big and some are small! My email list showing: inbox, junk mail, etc. is big, but the text in an email is small. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Change Font Size (Win XP):

Customize individual Windows elements by using Advanced settings

You can use the advanced settings to customize the font, size, or colors of individual Windows elements. Follow these steps to do this:

Step 1: Open the Advanced Appearance dialog box

To open the Advanced Appearance dialog box, follow these steps:

    1. Right-click an empty area of your desktop, and then click Properties.

    2. Click the Appearance tab, and then click Advanced.

Step 2: Customize the font, size, or color of individual Windows elements

From the Advanced Appearance window, you can customize the font, size, or colors of individual Window elements. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. In the Item list or in the preview window, click the Window element that you want to change. When you click the image of the item that you want to change in the preview window, the corresponding item is automatically selected from the drop-down list.

Note If you select Window in the Item box, and then modify the font color for that item, the font color that is used in many other programs is also modified. Any documents that use the automatic font color are affected if you change this setting. Many programs, including WordPad and Microsoft Word, use the same default font color. Any new documents that you create in these programs use the new font color that you select for the Window item.

    2. Use any of following sections to customize Windows items to achieve the look that you want.

Note Not all options for all Window elements are available. For example, the Font option appears to be dimmed and is unavailable for elements in the Item list that do not display text.

To customize item size and color:

    1. In the Size box, specify the size that you want to use for the item.

    2. In the Color box, specify the color that you want to use for the item.

    To customize item fonts:

    1. Click the font that you want to use for the item.

    2. In the Size box, specify the font size.

    3. In the Color box, specify the color that you want.

    4. To apply a bold font, click B. To italicize the font, click I.

As you modify items, you can preview their appearance in the preview window.

Note You must use the same font, size and color for the Active Title Bar and Inactive Title Bar items. Any changes that you made to either item are applied to both items.

    3. When you are finished making changes, click OK two times to save your settings.

To use a different default font color in programs that use automatic as the default font color, you may be able to create a template that uses the font color that you want as the default font color, and then use that template instead of the default template. For information about how to do this, view the documentation that is included with the program, or contact the program manufacturer.

Hmmmm. You are the first person I have ever heard this from... Well if it is just the fonts then, go to your control panel you should see something that says display, if you are not in the 'classic' view, it is under appearance and thems. If you click on display(or right click open) then you will get a pop-up window that will start you under the 'Themes' tab, on the top of this window you should see a tab that says appearance, click on that tab. Then at the bottom right, you will see something that

Font size:, under that you should have a drop down box with the options for your font sizes, now if that is on the size 'normal' your problem will not be so simple to fix, but put it to normal then hit apply. If that did not work then you will want to click the advanced button in that window, it is in the lower left, then you will get a new window pop-up, on the bottom of that window you will see something that says 'Items' and under will be a drop down box, going one at a time click under all of the things there and change the font, you will see below this drop down there is one that says 'Font', then hit ok, then hit apply. Now if that still did not work then try to change your screen resolution, under the Display Properties window from before you will see a tab at the top that says 'settings' click on that. Then you will see a box that has 'screen resolution' you would want to move that to a lower resolution, try 800 by 600 pixels and hit apply, but that may be to extreme, so you will have to see what one works for you.

    Hope That I have Helped

    Hi...

Go to your Display menu found in the Control Panel. Open up Appearance, then click on Advanced. A small window will pop up and you should see desktop highlighted in the elongated slot. Click the DOWN arrow beside it and find icon and click on that. Doing so, you will be able to cahnge the font size AND style.

    Good luck
