best mustang exhaust?

For sound: like the other dude said, Glasspack Cherries--probably will always be my favorite, no matter the application! These are easy to find. I got mine from the local Canadian Tire outlet, but any good exhaust shop will probably carry these.

For performance: you have to check out AeroTurbine exhaust. There isn't anything like it. Very cool. It uses jet engine technology to speed up and spin the outer exhaust, then introduces that exhaust with the inner exhaust, which creates a vacuum effect, and actually sucks the exhaust out... really cool. I'm not certain on exact numbers of the increases that you'll see.. I think I read somewhere 15 hp, but that'd be a certain application, not all. Can't remember torque or fuel economy... but they all go up.. not to mention, less stress on your engine.

The best combination of performance, sound and value available for the new body style Mustangs is going to be the Bassani Axle-back exhaust system. This glasspack style muffler will be the best flowing and highest performing mufflers you can put on your car.

Get some glasspacks. They will be loud and almost every company has them. They offer the least back pressure and will increase power and economy the most. If those are too loud, you might want to consider Cherry Bomb's Vortex muffler. It is a little more subdued but offers almost as much reduction in back pressure.

Flowmaster 2-chamber 40-series, or any of the big brands like Borla, Magnaflow, etc. The Flowmasters give that signature Mustang sound, though!

flowmasters in general have always sounded best in my own opinion, on a mustang

a set of GM mufflers...lol, just kidding, but I do have flowmasters on my vette, 2 chambers, and they rock.

I have duel flow-masters on my V6. okay on a V6. and it is sooo loud. just a deep sexy roar. so loud. so perfect.
