dose your step chi led purposely ignore you  or  disrespect you when you ask them to do something i  asked my step chi led to put her toys away from 2 weeks ago was her b day  they were sitting in my dinning room for 2 weeks   she says i was yelling at her when i just specifically asked her  please put your toys away  just please help out her father got up and yelled at me don't you think that was wrong of him  ?    don't you think the father should of  Sed yes  sweaty please  listen to what you were asked to do  ins ted of yelling at me  what do you  all think of this mess?

FIRST- he should have asked her to do it-supporting YOU - AND PRIVATELY_ both of you need to talk about bounderies for disciplin and 
her boundries as a step child-best advise is to --- Stay calm - and -talk to him privately about whatever situation occurs- seeing that you dont get upset by his reaction to you -will blow the wind out of her sails-maybe even make him wiser to the situation with her.. GOOD LUCK!!!!

My family is a combined family with I myself having 2 teenage daughters and my husband having 2 young sons.We do at times disagree about discipline concerning all of the children but, it's never in front of them.
I think you should sit down and talk to him .It's possible that something may have happened in his or her past that he hasn't told you about and he's trying to make it up to her (in the wrong way of course.)
You should talk about what you find acceptable and unacceptable behavior from your step-daughter and what your own form of discipline and response will be and stick to what you said otherwise you'll look like a liar and you may lose his trust.
