I have a good recipe for chicken and dumplings. Get some regular butter biscuits, chicken, and egg noodles. Then role the biscuits into balls and cut the chicken up. i would start off with the biscuits. boiling it first .then the chicken. then when the other stuff is almost done cook the noodles in a separate dish. then when everything is done put everything in one big pot.and you can add anything into it. like veggie and things like that!! good and quick and guys love it my husband always wants me to make it!!!

You can't go wrong w/ a big ol' baked potato alongside a steak. Offer lots of toppings for it.
Spinach salad sounds great, too. Be sure it has bacon in it, and maybe some diced apples.
Garlic bread is always good too.
I like Shiraz (red wine) w/ steak.
