There is a tram running at the end of Coronation Street, so why do residents only go to Manchester on the bus?

Maybe there isn't a station near Coronation street. Stations can be a couple of miles apart.

Source(s): it's all made up and pretend anyway. Yes, seriously it is!

Like the first answer, the tram isn't actually there at all, neither are the rows of terraced houses behind. These are all edited in to make the street look more realistic. Behind the actual terraced houses on Coronation Street is a car park and the Granada Studios building in which other Manchester based ITV programmes are made, such as The Jeremy Kyle Show.

Here is an image of what is behind Coronation Street houses on TV: http://blogs.coventrytelegraph.net/passtheremote/c...

But here is what actually is behind the houses:

As you can see, there are no houses or trams. Hope this helps!

because the tram is really a camera trick they use to make it look real in the background, I read about it somewhere

  • Them little buses are zippy movers, and probably a lot cheaper ; remember, it's a very short ride into town from there
