Which Rookie USC linebacker has had the best season?

Clay Matthews

Will be a pro-bowl player for years . As a rookie he is an absolute animal on the field , one of the best I've ever seen .

They have all contributed very well. The thing is this: they are playing on the right team and in the right position. What I mean is: if Matthews was in Houston and Cushing was in Green Bay, they'd be awful. Cushing would either be a backup or would not be a good OLB in a 3-4. Mathews might do alright, but nothing flashy. The same applies for Mauluga. If he was in Houston, he'd be a backup behind Demeco Ryans.

Point is, they have all had a tremendous season contributing to their teams respectively. Green Bay would not have a pass rush if they didn't have Clay Matthews, I know that as a Packer fan. I think Matthews has the better career though because he is in that role where he gets more attention. Cushing will get 100+ tackles a year like many other LB's, but Matthews will be getting double digit sacks each year, which makes him more of a menace. Not saying he's better, just saying he has a role that gives him more attention and glory.

I´m going to say Clay Matthews, he has 11 sacks i think this season. he made an instant impact in the Green Bay defense. He will have the best season and will have a the best career. Then it would be Ray Maulaluga because he´s a beast when it comes to tackling a person. He also hits hard. Then of coarse Brian Cushing. He has all the talent and will be in a lot of pro bowls. They´ll all have good careers. They all are on good teams and have good chances of going to super bowls, because their teams have a lot of talent.

Brian Cushing will be as productive as Brian Urlacher

Clay Mathrews will be a sacking machine and force fumbles like Shawn Merriman.

But the one who had the best season is Brian Cushing because he leads the AFC in Tackles has 5 pics and 3 sacks.

All of these guys are talented cant tell who would have the best career until the end of next year!
