Will free range geese get along with free range chickens?
If they both are free to have their own space, will they get along? will the geese kill the chickens? I want to get either african or chinese geese. what suggestions do you have? are there any helpful websites I could refer to? They are both free range and there is ample water.

The Geese will not interfere with the chickens, the only time that there will be antagonism, will be at feeding time "IF" they are both fed in the same area.
So the best thing to do is feed the Geese by the water and the chickens near their coops.
Geese are grazers mainly feeding on grass,so you should encounter no problems.if you are feeding them grains as long as they are fed in different areas.

In answer to your question they will get along just fine. You don't say where you live or what kind of property you have but for geese you need a fenced yard to keep predators such as coyotes and dogs out. African geese are wonderful birds and can become quite friendly with attention and patience. If you want geese get a book about how to properly care for them. Geese do like to swim and clean themselves in water so you should have a pond or at the least a large wading pool they can get in and out of easily. A wading pool will need to be emptied and refilled every 2-3 days. Geese like shade when its hot and shelter from the wind if it gets windy.

they will be fine it is actually very beneficial to have both chickens and geese here is how it works when the geese get accustomed with the chickens they will be part of the gees es territory and they will defend them with their life if a fox gets in the fox will get geesed not the geese will get foxed

if they have plenty of room to have their own space then Im sure they will be fine. Most animals dont want to get into serious fight due to the potential of injuries which might not allow them to hunt or eat. So they should be fine.
