Where is my altenater in my 90 jeep cherokee?

I need to remove it to get a new one, but dont know where it is or what it looks like!?

    i would take to a local parts store they can test it while on the vehicle and show you were it is.also buy a repair manual it will help you out.

    If you don't know where it is or what it looks like, how do you know it needs replacing. It's located at the right front of the engine but, if you don't even know what it looks like, what good does that info do you? Take it to an auto parts store and have someone point it out to you. They'll also test it for free. There's no sense buying a new one unless you have it tested and find that it's indeed bad.
