Let me ask you to ponder this:

Creationists often say that non-believers are ignorant fools, but there is still no proof for creationism.

I discovered that creationism is, in fact, a religion masquerading as a science. There is no science to support the theory. It's all simply guesswork and conjecture. They simply believe creationism without any proof (except the musty, contradicting bible), yet they call it a science.

To take it even a step further, religion is not a quest for truth. It is full of politics and a corrupted by greed. Yes, religions need funding too and they will skew the evidence to support any theory to get their money.

There is no legitimate religion that can prove the bible.

Creationists and christians should open their minds to real facts and not just follow popular opinion.

So I ask, who is the real ignorant fool?

The validity of a scientific theory is its ability to make predictions about what will be found in further lines of research. The theory of evolution has excelled in making such predictions.

Let's see, according to the Bible the earth is a flat immovable disk, supported by pillars and covered by a solid firmament of heaven. That means there are no vast distances to the stars, which in the biblical cosmos are just lights set in the firmament. As mere lights in the sky, they will fall to the earth in the Last Days (Matt 24:29), something that is ridiculous considering the actual stars are other suns and many times larger than the earth.

The original Hebrew word translated as firmament is raqiya. That is a noun derived from the Hebrew word raqa, which is a verb meaning "to beat out." That term is used in the bible in reference to beating out metal into plates or expanses of the metal (as in Exodus 39:3). So raqiya, as a noun, means "that which is beaten out."

The idea is that the firmament, or sky, is a solid, beaten out expanse or vault set on the rim of the flat disk of the earth. The firmament holds back the waters that are above the firmament, as stated in Genesis. If the firmament were not solid, it could not hold back the waters.

This understanding is confirmed in Job 37:18, which states:

"Can you beat out the vault of the skies as he does,

hard as a mirror of cast metal?" (New English Bible. .)

There, the Hebrew word translated as "beat out" (or "spread out" in other versions) is, as noted above, raqa.

There is also not one passage in the Bible indicating that the earth is a sphere. Isaiah 40:22 refers to it as a circle. The Hebrew word translated as "circle" there is chuwg, which means "circle" not "sphere."

The circle of the earth referred to the far horizon when viewed from a mountain, and which the writers of the Bible thought was the limit of the earth.

There are many passages in the Bible that indicate the earth is flat. Nebuchadnezzar's vision in Dan 4:10-11 clearly indicates the earth is flat, and Dan 2:28 states that the visions of Nebuchadnezzar are from God. If the biblical god says the biblical earth is flat, it must be flat.

The physical aspect of a circle is a disk, so the biblical earth is disk-shaped. Since the biblical earth is flat, it has an underside and under the earth is the abyss, which is referred to several times in the Bible. That is also what is being referred to in Job 26:7 when it says that the earth hangs over nothing. Job 26:7 implies that the earth has an upper side and an underside, which the actual earth does not have. (The original Hebrew word translated as "upon" in that passage in the KJV also means "over.")

That passage also says that the earth "hangs" or is "suspended," which is not true. The earth is actually orbiting the sun at 66,000 miles per hour.

And don't forget, you Bible believers burned Giordano Bruno at the stake for saying in contradiction to the Bible that the earth moves, and would have done the same to Galileo if he had not recanted

According to Psalm 93:1, Psalm 95:10, and 1 Chron 16:30 the earth does not move.

That is also confirmed by Ecclesiastes 1:5.

"The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to the place where he arose."

So in the Bible, it is the sun that moves and not the earth.

So you say that the findings of science concerning the earth in space are not legitimate science.

I suppose you have evidence to support this? No doubt there exist scientists that are in it for the money, but most research is done at universities. You know, places of learning, where people actually care about discovery.

Paragraphs one and two are your opinion. There is proof. Please do not think your skepticism is more valid than University research.

Paragraph three is just an incorrect rant. Yes they need funding. Yes corruption happens. But most funding is through the government which is generally unbiased.

Science disproving the bible: there are no giant fish. snakes can't talk. people can't come back from the dead.

Evolution is not popular opinion. Most people can't accept that over millions of years small changes equate to big ones.

The fact that the flu virus is different every year is an example of evolution. The fact that bugs become resistant to antibiotics and pesticides is an example of evolution.

Science is based on facts and evidence and there's overwhelming evidence supporting evolution. You can choose to ignore or deny the evidence but that's the path of willful ignorance. Who's the ignorant fool? You've answered your own question.

The Bible is not a book looking for proof. It is a book asking for faith. It offers some moral lessons, but it was written by men who did not have very many answers and so they attributed a lot of things to God. It's basically a collection of various stories by various authors written over several hundred years.

If evolution is false, then all of science is compromised. There is no other single element in all of science that is so defined by, and defines, science. It may well be the single greatest achievement in the history of science.

It certainly is the most powerful theory ever produced by the scientific method - more than anything in physics. It is the biological equivalent of the unifying theory physicists have long sought.

There is no alternative hypothesis because there has never been one piece of contradicting evidence. Every objection has been demonstrably shown to be irrelevant, distorted, or just false.

Even if dinosaurs and humans were found in the same geologic formation it would have no effect at all on the theory evolution. It would only mean that our estimate for the extinction of the dinosaurs was incorrect and needed to be adjusted. There are no "missing links" and there is nothing in the fossil record that does not fit.

In fact, evolution has always predicted new fossil evidence before it was discovered, just as it predicted genetics, germ theory, cell and molecular theory, and DNA decades to centuries before those things were identified. More importantly, it was the framework that guided the research, telling the investigators what to look for and the direction their research should take in order to make those discoveries.

Creationism is the mythological belief of quasi-historic, semi-nomadic tribes of illiterate Semitic sheep herders (who also thought that the earth was flat). All creationists fall into one of two groups; (1) the ill-educated and scientifically illiterate and (2) the intentionally dishonest.

There is actually more evidence for evolution than there is for creationism. However, in Judaism Evolution and Creationism are only two sides of the same coin. They are not mutually exclusive.

There is proof for natural selection (aka survival of the fittest).
