Lily ♥
Hi :) I'm Lily… and I'm back after a year or two hiatus! I have a serious love for names, so I'll usually be found poking around in the baby names section, but I may occasionally wonder over to the education, literature and tv sections to waste some time too. Lovely :)
♀ Which name do you prefer?
Which do you prefer of the following two name combos? If you could explain why that would be greatly appreciated.
• Elsa Romilly May/Maeve {not sure which one, just pick one!}
• Edith Cassiopia May
If you don't like the names at all, that's fine, feel free to say so, but only after answering the question.

BQ → How do you feel about Violet Aurelia Blythe?

9 AnswersBaby Names8 years agoSimilar names; which is your favourite?
I love all four of the names below, but don't particuarly want them all in my top ten, as they are much too close! How would you rank them from best to worst? What are your general thoughts on each name? Which is your favourite / least favourite? Rate them, comment, whatever you like! Answer with the most helpful and considered info will be BA.
• Alice
• Beatrix
• Florence
• Iris

19 AnswersBaby Names9 years agoHow do you pronounce this ♀ name?
I really love the name Briseis, and am wondering how people pronounce it when they first read it. If you could let me know what country you're from that'd be lovely too.
BQ1: General thoughts on the name?
BQ2: What names would you pair with Briseis to make a Briseis-middle-middle combo? I'm thinking maybe Briseis Ruby Maeve or Briseis Ada Violet?
Thanks a bunch! ♥
18 AnswersBaby Names9 years agoCare to create a Top 10 list? ... boys this time!?
I asked this question for my favourite girls names yesterday, but now it's the boys' turn. Using the names I list below [my favourite boys names] can you make a Top 10 list?
i.e. list 10 in order of your liking, and take away the remaining names.
The names that are starred are currently in my state's Top 100 names - no more than 3 of these should be in the Top 10 list you create. I'm in Australia, and some names are perceived differently (no Reuben sandwich association, for example!). Oh, and please don't change the spellings! Any comments would be greatly appreciated :)

Could you make a Top 10 from my favourite girls names? My girls list is out of control, and I'm curious to see what names people like best.

The names that are starred are currently in my state's Top 100 names - no more than 3 of these should be in the Top 10 list you create. 39 AnswersBaby Names9 years agoYour thoughts on these names?
These names have caught my fancy lately, and I'm considering moving them way up on my list, but I'd love to hear people's thoughts first!
♀ Briseis
♀ Lyra
♀ Ginevra
♀ Sylvie
♂ Jonty
♂ Inigo [...not Indigo!]
♂ Finnian
♂ Cassian
I know some of them are an ...acquired taste, but your input would be appreciated.
BQ ► Is Cassiopeia too much for a middle name? I've relented to the fact that she's perhaps a bit too ornate for a first name, but what about in the middle? {Ivy Cassiopeia June, for example}
Thanks a bunch! ♥
8 AnswersBaby Names9 years agoYour thoughts about this ♀ name, and which combo do you prefer?
What are your general thoughts on Florence?
She's been in my top 10 for years, and has been sitting in my top 3 for a few months. I'm thinking about making her #1 instead of Alice. Just wanted to get some opinions on the name!
• Which combo do you prefer Florence Emilia Margot [existing combo] or Florence Ida Charlotte [new thought]?
• Any other suggestions for two-middle-name-combos for Florence?
Thanks a bunch!

8 AnswersBaby Names9 years agoHow do YOU pronounce Georgiana?
jor-jee-AHN-uh or jor-JAY-nuh?
I flit between both pronunciations, and can't decide which I prefer, or which is more prevalent where I live (Australia). If you could state what country you're from, that'd be awesome too!
• Note it's GeorgiAna, not Georgina!
• If you pronounce it differently again (for example with the last part pronounced like 'Anna'), feel free to mention it, but I'd appreciate you choosing between the two mentioned pronunciations as well :)
Thanks a bunch ♥
19 AnswersBaby Names9 years agoThoughts on these combos for Freya?
I adore Freya, and she's recently jumped back into my top 10, so I'm throwing around some combos for her. I currently have four front-runners, none of which I'm entirely sold on:
• Freya Lucy Apolline {...ap-ol-EEN / my original combo}
• Freya Lucy Primrose {...too sugary?}
• Freya Penelope June
• Freya Coralie Jane
Your thoughts on the combos {and the name Freya generally} would be very much appreciated, as would suggestions for other two middle name combos for Freya! Just a note - two middle names are definitely staying, so please don't comment on that aspect.
Thanks :)
10 AnswersBaby Names9 years agoWhat would you name brothers and sisters of these two girls?
What names do you think would sit nicely with Alice + Freya in a sibset? List as many - both for boys and girls - as you'd like! Some other favourites of mine (to give you a sense of my style) are:
♂ Caspar, Frederick, Silas, Henry, Oliver, Edmund, Mathis, Rafferty, Jude, Leopold...
♀ Florence, Clementine, Iris, Ophelia, Briony, Imogen, Araminta, Pomeline, Viola...
Please try and stick to names resembling my style; nothing made up or unisex!
Thanks a bunch! ♥

My girls list is rather long, so I'm looking for new points of view! Could you make a Top 10 from my favourite girls names :)
i.e. list 10 in order of your liking, and take away the remaining names.
The names that are starred are currently in my state's Top 100 names. I'm in Australia, where are popularity lists are essentially a mash up of the British and US lists, I find, and some names are perceived differently [no syrup association for Jemima, for example!]. Any comments would be greatly appreciated! Also, just a note: I'm in Australia, if that makes any difference.

Just a note.. two middle names are staying :)

20 AnswersBaby Names1 decade ago♀ How do these sound?
Okay, so I'm having a bit of a name crush on Freya at the moment.. I've always really liked her, but she's just super high on my radar at the moment. I'm having trouble coming up with combos I like for her though, and it's driving me crazy! :)
There are two that I've quite fallen for:
☼ Freya Juniper Jane
☼ Freya Lucy Leontine
My only problem is that in general, I really dislike alliterative names, and think they sound a bit too rhymey and sing-songy. Do the above names sound alright, or does the alliteration sound silly? If you have any ideas, feel free to share them.. they'd be appreciated!
Thanks very muchly ♥

9 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoWhat middle names would you pair with these?
Freya and Florence are two names that have been on my long list for years, but I'm lacking inspiration for their middle names. Right now, I have:
☼ Freya Lucy Primrose
☼ Freya Briony Jane
☼ Florence Viola June
☼ Florence Lucy Margot
☼ Florence Matilda Jane
I'm not really loving any of these though. What middle names would you pair with Freya and Florence? I prefer vintage and classic names with a bit of British flair, so please nothing unisex or too trendy :) Also, myself & my siblings have two middle names, and I'd like to carry that on.
Thanks a bunch! ♥
4 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoWhich middle do you prefer? +BQ?
Violet Ramona Eve or Violet Eulalie Alice?
~ Explaining why would be wonderful, but I'm not going to change my mind on having two middle names, so please don't mention it {Myself & my siblings have two middle names, and I'd like to carry this on!}
Thank you!
