Winter chains for my Acura TL, winter driving?

It's a 2008 Acura TL. The tires are stock, sure the size. I need them because I'm driving from Oregon to Idaho, and Utah, and New Mexico. And will need them for Oregon, ID, UT, NM and that's why I was aksing if I can just remove them once past those states?

Do I need chais on all 4 tires, the car is front wheel drive.

Also do they have them in stock or have to order the chains?

Update:

How much do chains cost, does it depend what car it is, it will be for a Acura TL. Also are they easy to put on yourself, and remove? Thanks

If you have Auto Zone in your area they will run you from 40 to 70 dollars, depending on which ones you go with. The SUV chains are the killer ones-- run for about 150. When you go in to purchase them you will be asked for your tire size. The tire size is on the side of the tire wall and should be something like 225/50/17 (not sure what year your TL is so I can't tell you plus I'm not even sure if you got stock tires in the first place) or a number similar to that. You will NOT need to take the tires off the car and the installation or uninstallation process takes about 10 minutes. They do come with instructions. Make sure you always put them on the drive wheels-- in your case the front ones.

Before you do that check with your state if and when they're legal (or perhaps required).
