Do you have to read the Alex Rider Adventures series by Anthony Horowitz in order?

I read the first book, but when I went to the bookstore they only had books five, Scorpia, and seven, Snakehead. I was wondering for those of you you've read the series if I can read them out of order or if I need to wait until I read the others first.

    Alex Rider Series Order

I didn't read that part of the Alex Rider series (I read the independent ones, Skeleton Key, etc.) But if it's in a series, I'm sure there's some continuity. There's a reason Anthony Horowitz made them that way. Try skimming through some of the books, if you can. They might have little continuity, such as minor references to the previous books, or, like Harry Potter, a lot of continuity. In Harry Potter, you can't skip books without being completely confused.

My verdict: Stay in the order of the series.

  • Definitely not! The school reading list had number 3, but not others. Barely anyone read 1 or 2.
