looking for first name suggestions to go with the middle name?

Question

Shannon, for a boy.  I'm currently obsessing over the name Shannon as a boy's name.  Yes, I know it is considered "girly," but I *really* love it for a boy.  That's why I'm thinking of maybe using it as a middle name with a less "girly" first name.  The surname is one syllable, so a one or two syllable first name would probably be best.

Shannon used to be considered a males name and was only recently changed to a girls name. Just like the name Darryl or Darrel used to be a girls name and now it's a guys name. I don't think there is any problem in using it. 

I would however consider using it as a middle name as kids are really mean these days and probably do not understand that Shannon used to be a males name. So, I would use it as a middle name as you thought.

My husbands 10 year old cousin is named Shannon, he gets made fun of on a regular basis. We all call him by a nickname because he hates being called Shannon. I'd reconsider.

Daniel Shannon sounds awesome. Shandon is also a boys name that hardly anyone has and I love it.
