Why is it that the truly ignorant individuals which dwell among us are the ones that are always opening...?

Because they haven't the intelligence and the maturity to even realise they are doing it. I've met some really ignorant and stupid people who hold the firm belief that every word they say is true and that everyone else is wrong and not worth considering. People like that annoy me, but not as much as they used to. I'm happy to let them wallow in their ignorance, because they can't be changed anyway.

You just notice more, like how people are always quick to mention the bad qualities of something but not the good

Because they are to ignorant to know when it is time to shut up!

Ignorance and loquaciousness do seem to go together, don't they?

They don't think they are ignorant, they think they are cool.

and WE still elect them to office!
