First, simplify the n terms. You have (ignoring coefficients) n^8/n^2. To simplify this, we subtract exponents since we are dealing with division. So 8-2=6, giving us n^6 in the numerator. Then simplify 6/24=1/4. So your final answer is (1/4)*n^6= n^6/4.

Cancel down the numbers 6 and 24 to 1 and 4 and subtract the bottom power from the top power.

    (1 / 4)n to the power 6

Your notation is ambiguous. Is it

    (6n)^8/(24n)^2 or 6n^8/24n^2 ?
