French Translation Question?
I'm in a bit of a "Moulin Rouge" mood today, and I was just wondering how some one would say "The Sparkling Diamond" in French. I don't mean like an actual sparkling diamond, however. I mean if someone were to call someone else "The Sparkling Diamond." Yeah...so anyways, if someone could translate the phrase into French for me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks. :)

A literal translation would be Le diamant étincelant. But the way you mean it, that is if you want to compliment somebody by telling him/her that he/she is the most precious person in the group or in your life, you would simply say that he/she is "le joyau" which means the jewel.

I'm not native french, so I don't know an equivalent saying,(like "the cat's meow) but the literal translation would be:
Le diamant étincelant
