Would it be more accurate if the shops said "Merry Commerce" instead of Merry Christmas..?

How very true, the Christmas message was forgotten long ago and it's all money now.

Most definitely!! And it saddens me when people describe Christmas as being over already, but then again, maybe it's a consequence of being bombarded with it by the shops and media from late September - people are fed up of it already, and want it gone, which is a shame. In my opinion, Christmas is not over until we're into the New Year.

Not only that, but most stores are saying these last 2 days have seen new record sales..What's happened to the so called recession I wonder
