Guess I don't understand the situation, are you relighting the pilot and then it goes out, if not how does the pilot turn on it's controlled by either a thermocouple or something else to turn off the gas it couldn't do what your doing without you are relighting it, I'd go to Lowe's or Home Depot after looking at the video.below, you have to have heat and you have to be relighting the pilot, so the thermocouple must be bad, just get a generic one as close to the one as you can.

Indiana prohibits utilities from disconnecting electric or natural gas service for nonpayment of bills from December 1 to March 15 if the customer qualifies for public assistance, whether or not the customer actually receives the benefit. In addition, another law prevents the disconnection for financial hardship if the customer pays the lesser of $10 or 10% of the overdue utility or heating bill, if the customer agrees to pay the remainder within three months and agrees to pay all undisputed future bills when due. Last, a regulation postpones disconnection for 20 days if the customer presents a medical statement from a licensed physician which states that disconnection would be a serious and immediate threat to the individual.

You might try and sand paper the thermocouple to clean the soot off. and remove the air filter. Also make sure the room the furnace is in gets a little heat in it to keep a good draft up the flue. If this doesn't work. Look for an error code at the control module. count how many times the light blinks and look on the label on the cover inside to see which what it says.

This has nothing to do with the gas company. If you had called a furnace repair shop it would have already been fixed. Call them now. I'm betting they'll be there in 3-4 hours.

do your other gas appliances work ok?..if not, probably a gas supply problem,,gas co. has to fix that....seems to me you have electronic ignition that keeps re-trying,,either spark pilot type,or hot surface igniter type..[customers describe things as "pilots" all the time when actually its an igniter or a auto-lighting spark pilot ]...either way,if there is a "flame senser" it might need cleaning..flame senser is a metal rod within a ceramic insulater with one wire attached to the bottom or back of it....some are easy to get to,others harder......to clean, use scotchbrite or other nylon pad and rub back and forth..sandpaper will work but not the best to use unless thats all you have...if problem is anything else, probably not a d-i-y job...........dan

You'll have to drop some money on 2-3 space heaters. It is not wasted money as they do come in handy in emergencies, such as what you are facing. Go to your hardware/department store and look to purchase about 3 units ranging from 5K to 8K BTU in heating capacity. Prices vary from $40 to $90 per unit. Place one in your bedroom and the two in the common areas (living room and dining room/kitchen). You should be fine until the gas company comes and your pipes won't freeze.

That's very dangerous...call the local fire department and ask them for advice........
Not only may your pipes freeze, but you may have an explosion.
AND make sure there is no gas leaking into your house

Call someone else, any heating and plumbing contractor, keep calling until you find one that will come.

Shield it from air flow. You may have air blowing out your pilot. Try using aluminum foil as a barrier.
