Does the Tiger Woods scandal really change how you view his sponsors? Will you not buy their products? Why?

What about watching the PGA? Will you still watch, even if he does decide to return?

You're proceeding under the misapprehension that the effects of advertising are conscious. Advertisers have known for centuries that it's the subtle implanting of ideas and associations which leads to selling products. People think Ferrero Rocher are posh, so that was a successful campaign. People think of the crumbling of a flake as luxurious. When I bought Kombucha for my sister, she thought it tasted like vinegar. 18 months later when Susan Sarandon had plugged it as a healthy option, she started buying it regularly. None of this is conscious. If ads work well we associate the products with positive ideas. We associate Nike and Woods with superhuman achievement. There's a lot of people out there who will suddenly fancy they smell cheap lipstick and semen off their Nike runners and throw them out. It's not conscious, but Nikes sales will go down because of the statistical effect.

Having a one night stand with one person can be called a mistake. Multiple partners for extended periods of time over a period of years is not a mistake. I will admit Tiger is a great golfer, but the temper tantrums on the tee box were not something I wanted to see. There seemed to be an of arrogance about him that can be felt through the TV. Didn't care for that either. So, I guess my views have not changed. I just didn't think he would be the type of guy who would put his family through something like this. Just think, in a few years, his kids will be able to read all about it when they just do a search for 'Tiger Woods' on the internet. Thinking with the wrong head will get you in trouble every time.

I could care less about who sponsered Tiger Woods, it's not like they had anything to do with his behavior. I am mostly angry at him because I live in a PGA tour city and his behavior will hurt the entire city because a lot of people come to see Tiger and a loss of viewer means a loss of revenue for the city and for people in it...though I don't acctually watch the competition except the last day

i am senior. don't really have any need for nike etc. have noticed price of nike both stock and retail price is staying stable. i would not purchase nike etc. tag hauer watch to much money. the real people who suffer are the nike pro golf tour players. there clubs are made in japan. handcrafted by matsui golf company. not the same as purchased retail in stores. nike staff players only. this company will not be doing forgings for nike any longer. i think there products will be slightly cheaper than other major brands. after this i would not use any company who keeps him. different reason had tiger as the next athlete/humanitarian may well have close to Mohamed ali. this will never happen. kareem will always rank number 2 to the champ as number 2 athlete humanitarian. simply put no i will not. seniors point of view many thumbs down.added ia m sorry but just read supposed experts comments. thet nike sales are down 12 billion dollars. sice december 11. as senile as i am this is just balderdash. sympathy ploy. desperation gamble. true about as true as me having long hair again.

Oh my god I am getting so sick of the Tiger Woods talk. Who gives a sh/t!? I never followed his news before and I'm sure not gonna follow it now. WHO CARES? He's a nobody. He's not the president, he's not dying of a shotgun wound, and he doesn't even have any talent other than hitting a little ball with a crooked stick better than other people can. It won't change my life in any way other than that it makes me want to scream every time I hear his name.

Source(s): Not venting, it's a carefully calculated answer that I've been developing ever since that stupid car wreck.

Tiger Woods is a human being like us and everyone makes mistakes.Yes I know some more than others.U wouldn't see a regular citizen being criticized for that so y should he be any different or actors and actresses or senators, governors president. We all r only human and should remember that. There will be a judgment day for everyone and that is not nor will ever be on this earth!
