    B represents beams. If you have the number of beams, 79, just substitute it in the equation to solve for the number of sections, n, that required that many beams.

    B = 1 + 3n

    79 = 1 + 3n

    78 = 3n

    n = 26

    26 sections.

    B is the number of beams. So we just set 79=1+3n.

    That is, 78=3n. So n= 78/3=26 sections
