Those who have cats/dogs that beg for food while you're eating: Are you nice to them and give them food?

I'm nice to my kitties; I give them people food.

and those who don't: what's your problem? let them eat good food.

the "cat food" or "dog food" isn't nearly the same quality as "people food."

There are some things that cats and dogs can't eat because it will make them very ill. Chocolate, for instance. Grapes and raisins are another example--they cause kidney damage. If you wish to feed your pet scraps, go ahead--just please be careful about what scraps.

I have to agree and DISagree with you. "People food" should be only a TREAT and NOT the main part of their diets. A well-balanced, commercially available cat/dog food is essential for a HEALTHY animal. Just because a cat/dog begs for the food is it GOOD for them to have! Me... kittyslave23... I know my place.

Yes, I sometimes give my dog food I'm eating. My cats usually thumb their noses at it.

But be careful what you give your pets. Some people food isn't good for them. Ham for instance has too much salt and might make them sick. Processed food that we eat might not be good for them.

No. Because I don't let my animals beg. They are told to lay down and be quiet. Otherwise next thing you know you are the one begging for food.

    No.

My dog is alleric to everything except chicken. We have to feed him expensive non-allergenic food from the vet. He would vomit anything else.
