Does America have morals anymore?

Its an honor listening to people your age saying these things. I am pro-life and Catholic as well, and as a college student its disgusting to see what America has come to. I am sick of the sex-filled reality shows and the guys and girls with no morals whatsoever. All I can say is just pray to God that this will change. Either way you seem to be a good person so God will call you Home and that place will be much better than what this world has to offer, infinitely better. But in spite of things getting harder, just persevere. I believe in you. Oh and the Youth 2000 retreats are the best. Stay in Mass, pray, and commit to community service, like soup kitchens. I will do the same. Thank you. You're awesome, you know that?

As usual, you are right on with this one. There is noone that can honestly say and believe that the moral and ethical ppl of this world are the majority. Not a chance. THey would be lying and know it. Read the newspaper, watch the news, look around your own neihborhood ppl. When they took prayer out of schools, and ok'd abortion as legal , and many other things since then, america as a nation abandoned God and has been paying a huge price ever since. And whether we like it not, there is no turning back. All we can do is stand for God as we live and speak His truths ourself. God told us to watch for the signs and told us what they were, and we are here folks. Dont lose hope or have fear. JEsus is coming soon, and we that are His already have victory. Just pray that more will come to God. By their actions FRUITS, we will know them when they come and God always knows. Just stay prayed up. Make sure you have enough oil in your lamps and be ready. You should live your life the best you can and do what you think is right. I was raised Catholic. I am now Buddhist. Not everyone believes the same as you do. Everyone has the right to believe what they think is true. And sometimes it does not agree with what you think. I can not take the advice of a old man in a funny hat about birth control when he has no idea about sex or kids at all. Let him start an orphanage at Vatican City for all those babies that he forces poor women to have on pain of eternal damnation. They cannot even feed these babies and abandon them. But they are told they can not have birth control. Yes - let's take the word of a celibate old man on birth control.

I'm sure you are not alone in your feelings. I was raised in the '50's and understand the benefits of being raised to have control over your own actions. You are more apt to form relationships based on the right reasons and not have to face the difficult choice of abortion or raising a child outside of marriage. If everyone felt that way, we would have far less problems in our society.

I attended grandparents day at my granddaughter's 2nd grade class before Thanksgiving. The teacher asked the students what they were thankful for. My granddaughter said she was thankful for Jesus but the teacher just completely ignored her after she said it 3 times. My 2nd grade teacher gave me a religious pin when she found out I had first Communion. Things are really different these days. Our society was much more wholesome when I was a child. People don't even use that word anymore. Keep the faith.

It is difficult for people of faith to live in the world the way it is today. But, if you have read your Bible, and I assume you have, you know that Jesus and the deciples talked of this situation at great length in the New Testament. You shall be persecuted for your beliefs while you remain here on earth...but hold tight to your faith. Live your life the way you believe God intends you to live it. The rest must make that decision for themselves.

Whose ? -Yours ? Mine ?? Or Someone you have in Mind ??? The "problem" with Morality- is that people think It's a "One Size fits All" proposition... And if You know ANYTHING about People (OR that "proposition"), you SOON find out- that "One Morality" does NOT "fit all..." .. ! Faith, on the Other hand- is EASIER to hold Onto... Because THAT is the Bond you have with whatever you Believe in... So trust NOT in the shifting sands of morality... -But have Faith that Our Creator KNOWS what He's doing, -& believe in Him -from There... ;)

Liberals happened.

Edit: First thing that happened was we took God out of our lives to humor other illegal immigrants, living on welfare, because our governenmet said it is PC correct, then we allowed no child left behind, some republican nut job, and of course they do the jobs Americans will not do BS, and young kids with a liberal public education get brainwashed, and the bought and paid for liberal media ....well now we have a president that has no birth certificate, that promised change , has not delivered. Believe me it will get worse so you might as well prepare, I hope you have food, ammo and friends, because if you do not, you will end up in a socialist concentration camp .

Many people are still moral and live by high standards.

Just keep taking the high road and surround yourself with quality people who share the same values as you do. These days, all you can do is protect yours and your own.

i'm 18 and I ask myself the same thing.

I hear about murders all around me, 10 year olds drinking, 12 year olds having sex and doing drugs. abortion is 93% people who don't want a baby. i'm not even religious and I see wrong in this world.

There are still those who hold to moral valves in the US..I am one of them
