Eggnog: alcohol taste without the alcohol?
I'm making a large batch of eggnog for a New Year's Eve party, and want to make a smaller one for those who don't drink. What can I include in the nonalcoholic bowl that will approximate the taste of the alcohol in the larger bowls? (I use bourbon and a smaller amount of dark rum, but anything will do.) Maybe something like almond extract or something similar--but that's just a guess. On the other hand, am I painting the lily? Would just the milk, cream, eggs and so on taste just fine by themselves? Thanks.

Eggnog without the alcohol is VERY good. Of course the alcoholic eggnog is gonna be better though...For those who don't drink, just give them some eggnog with some cinnamon and nutmeg on top, and they'll be happy.
