New laptop need help to transfer IPhone data please help?

I have plugged my IPhone into my new laptop and all it has downloaded is new pictures how do I get everything on to my computor please help photo's of my daughter who passed away on phone and want them on computor. Also did not transfer any of my music help would be appreciated

Update:

First time tried today and only put on photo recent taken and cant find others or iphone on my computor why has it not downloaded all of the information photo's music ect

Update 2:

I have installed iphone correct it is syncing but only put photos on that had for some reason older photos and all my music is not going on unyet capasity says it has 1300 photos so where would they be lol

Update 3:

tried that patrik no go it seems to sync for seconds then goes off phone fully charged ect it did come up and say that three items could not be added as new computor from when origional brought so have to autherise computor. sorry for going on but it is doing old head in now cant find stuff any where. lol

    first sign in to itunes and transfer all purchases. (if u didnt buy ur music then u'll have to redownload everything)

    i have a mac so its gunna be hard to remember how to explain this for a pc aswell..

    well for a mac goto iphoto and hit import. simple as that..

    idk if you have xp, vista or W7 so thats pretty tough to explain.. but what i can tell you that the photo program should pop up asking if u want to import photos.

    if you cant figure it out then give apple a call

    also make sure update everything

    You wil need to install the driver disk that you got with the phone.

    If you want to transfer music then you will need to download and install ituned from here.

    you have to go to your itunes and then go to ''file'' and then ''transfer purchases from iPhone''
