Is this truck worth the money?

That is the truck that is on criagslist.com. It is my dream truck. But is it worth the money.

The truck is priced right. The only problem with used work trucks is you have no idea how much abuse this vehicle took over the last 6 years.

The ad has very little information about the actual truck. The wheels are bone stock and the black plastic grille with no extended cab tells me this is a low option basic work truck.

If this is the vehicle you want go over it with a fine toothed comb and check everything, Run a Carfax to verify miles and check for accidents then have a qualified mechanic give it a compete mechanical inspection. If everything looks right, make him an offer.

F250 gas is not really great on fuel mileage. Like 8-10 city and maby 15 hw. Alittle underpowered also. Has alot of miles on it for being a gas. Looks good though and pretty cheap. Gas 3/4 ton trucks lose the value pretty fast when you get high miles on them.

i just bought a 2001 gmc 2500 (basically same truck) with 275000 miles and it still runs like new. the only problem i see is why they had to rebuild the tranny. mine is just fine and so are a few of my friends with the same trucks. the only problems we've had is with fuel pumps. but for 3 grand id say buy it

Im not a big fan of F250 with the 5.4 I find them alittle underpowered. Look around a see what similar trucks are selling for that's your best comparison also check Kelly Blue Book and see what the truck is worth.

When they call it a work truck it usually means it's kind rough.

What kind of truck is it

Price is too good to be true. Normally they would go for around $8 grand. If you look, make sure you have your mechanic check it out.
