What are some reasons my parents should let me go to Wilmington for New Years Eve?
I'm 18 year old girl and I will be staying at my friend's apartment. She lives with 2 other girls. Please help me think of some ideas to convince my parents.

So they can be rid of you and be able to sex it up.
Saying that you are 18 and can do whatever you like isn't a valid argument if you depend on them for anything, like paying for school or a roof over your head. Unless you aren't dependent on them concerning your life, then you being legally an adult isn't much of an argument.
Simply find something which will benefit them by you being out of the house for the night and emphasis that aspect while downplaying anything negative.

Dispite the fact that you are 18, you obviously feel the need to have their permission, even though it's not necessary. Maybe because 18 is just a number and you really need restrictions. Or Maybe because your respect for your parents wishes superceed anything else. Or maybe you're not 18. Or maybe your parents know something about Wilmington on New Years Eve that you don't know about. Or Maybe you've been a naughty girl in the past, and your parents just don't trust you. Doesn't matter. You live with them so whatever you do, the consequesces are yours to carry.

If they haven't met your friend, have them talk on the phone or something and maybe this will help them to see that this is a safe person. Depending on where Wilmington is in relation to where you live, they might be worried about you being on the road since there will be many drunk drivers out (guaranteed). Let them know that you will go right to your friend's place and that you won't be out on the road or around alcohol. Plus you are 18 yrs old, so they need to trust you to make good decisions on your own.

1. Does your parents know these " 2 other girls themselves"?
2. Limit your alcoholic beverages to at least 1 serving.
3. Don't enter a car if you or your friends or her other 2 friends get drunk.
4. Don't lie about your real age or having a fake ID with to be allowed to be in a 21 year old clubs/ bar.
