I will wager you are taking Zithromax aka Zpac, this is commonly ordered for respiratory infections.
And it is very effective, what you may not know is this medication is time release, you take it for five days, and it takes another five days to fully work. Take ALL of the doses as ordered, or you risk creating an infective organism that is resistant to the medication.
You sweat when you wake up, because during the night you develop fever, the medication works to decrease the organism causing the pnuemonia and your fever breaks and you sweat. You should be well at the end of ten days. If you are not, that is time to go back to the doctor.

take the full course, even if you feel better. this is what drives docs nuts. people who quit their antibiotics when they feel good. if you,re good when finished; fine. if there,s any doubt, see the doc again. this infection kills about 35,000 in the u.s. every year.
