My wife could have low blood sugar?

My wife, earlier in her life, was anoerexic and bulemic and still "controls" her weight with suppositories. at one point, a university wanted to study her because she had hurt her body to the point she got hives from being cold. severe hives. they said her electrolytes were off and this caused her hiving. it doesn't happen as frequently or as severe as they used to.

she currently continues to have headaches, blurred vision, etc. and someone suggested that she might have low blood sugar. she avoids sugar like a cat avoids water.

everything she eats is either no-sugar or sweetened with substitutes. no donuts. no sugar creamer in her coffee. diet cokes. nothing. she will from time to time eat a cake or pastry. but i'm not sure if it lasts long in her system.

any thoughts?

I have low blood sugar and if I go too long without eating I have similar symptoms ... headaches, leg cramps, dizziness, moodiness. Of course, she can get sugar from carbohydrates. It's actually better to not use simple sugars like in donuts. You can get sugars from fruits and vegetables, too. Carrots contain a lot of sugar, for example. But, your wife has a disease and is unhealthy. She has abused her body and is now paying the price. She really needs to take better care of herself and if she is hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) she should try to eat smaller meals frequently throughout the day. Good luck.
