If a guy is already collecting BAH and BAS, getting married and adding another dependent, thereby increasing family size from two to three, does not change the amount of BAH or BAS at all:

There may be a tax savings due to another personal exemption for federal and possibly state income tax purposes.

Pay doesn't change you are just eligible for more allowances. BAH w/dependents it doesn't matter if there is 1 or 20 it is the same based on your rank and location. So if you are already getting BAH w/dependents then you will not see any difference. If you are getting BAH-diff and living in barracks then once you move out of barracks you will only get BAH w/dependents. you cannot get BAH w/dependents and BAH-diff. The only pay difference you will see is if you claim more dependents for taxes, you might not be paying as much in Income Tax.

ETA: OCONUS COLA Is the only allowance that does go up depending on how many dependents are with you. If you are getting CONUS COLA then it does not change at all.

no increase . there are two rates: with and without dependnets. If you already get BAH w/ dependents it will not change just because you add another dependent.

If however you get COLA, it does go up with the more people in your family to a max of 5 I believe.
