6 weeks 4 days pregnant- normal or time to all the dr?
Okay, so this isn't my first time around, but each time is different so I don't know what to think. I am so exhausted to the point I can barely sit up most of the day, I am having extreme thirst but when I drink I get nauseated (then get dry heaves), I am dizzy and having migraines (which the ob gave my imetrex (sp) for, and that works so-so). I have also gained like 12 lbs in the last week with no change to my eating or activity habits. I feel so bloated and miserable. I tried calling my dr, but his office is closed until Jan 4 (I have a routine appt on the 6th), and I am afraid if I go to the er my insurance won't pay. The other women's clinic in the same building won't see me because I started with someone else (even though I was a prior patient of theirs- they just wouldn't see me before 8 weeks and I had been having migraines for 2 1/2 weeks & needed some relief). I haven't been able to work because of safety issues with the dizziness (I climb a ladder and stand about 6 ft off the ground running a wizzard knife trimming meat (electric knife with a round blade). Should I just tough it out and not worry about more lost income? Or should I go to the er and pay a ton of money (basically being out probably close to the same)?
Forgot to add- no fever, spotting, cramping or abdominal pain but history of miscarriage.

Though your symptoms seem to be normal during early pregnancy, the severity to which you are experiencing them is cause for concern! Dizziness, drowsiness, swelling, tight feeling in the head, tiredness, vomiting, weakness... and more are ALL possible side effects of Imitrex. "FDA pregnancy category C. It is not known whether this medication is harmful to an unborn baby. Before using Imitrex, tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment."
Intense headaches along w/ sudden swelling (i.e. 2lbs/24hrs) are signs of high blood pressure. You should get a second opinion! If you're afraid to go to the ER, next time you're experiencing a migraine & feeling bloated have a friend drive you to a neighborhood pharmacy. There you can check your blood pressure. High blood pressure is a legitimate reason to seek medical attention. Your insurance shouldn't refuse the claim. Good luck.

i think your okay, it all seems pretty normal. i would just rest alot and try to stay hydrated the best you can. i feel pretty much the same way and am 6 wks also. everything seems exhausting and the though of getting out of bed seems tiring most days. i stay thirsty ALL day and have constant cramps. (which i hear is normal as long as there is no bleeding).
