Creationists, did any of you watch "What Darwin Never New" on the PBS Nova program last night?
Specifically, did you watch the whole two hours? If you did, did it change your views on evolution?
I am specifically interested in your reaction concerning the DNA switches that turn genes on and off, since these switches can have a major effect on how genes are expressed.
To recap, mutations in the switches can result in changes in the development of characteristics in the embryo without the need for mutations in the genes they control. It was also pointed out that even greatly dissimilar species, even those belonging to different phyla, can have very similar or even identical genes, but they are expressed differently because of the effects of the DNA switches.
So, if you watched the program, what was your reaction?
Sorry, I revised the question but wasn't careful in the rewrite.
It's "What Darwin Never Knew."
Lovely Green Eyes, I think I know a lot more about science than you do.
Lovely Green Eyes, did you or didn't you watch the program?
So far, no one has said they watched the program.

Sadly the only way they will change their mind and get them to accept evolution is if their religious leader tells them to.
Remember creationists are not known for thinking for themselves; rather they prefer to have someone do the thinking for them

the undeniable fact that the evolution area had each thing stacked against them -- they have been the plaintiffs, for this reason had the load of evidence; the choose became an exact wing Bush appointee -- the end result's marvelous. the undeniable fact that they could set up that smart layout isn't technological information and is in certainty faith became surprising. in the top, the identity proponents ("cdesign proponentsists") had a substantial credibility hollow -- adequate that perjury became investigated.

Darwin made his theory 150 years ago! Nobody had any idea what a cell was then, much less DNA.
But DNA testing, recently developed, has again and again verified the truth of his theory (albeit a few surprises as is to be expected).

what! pbs said that!!!!! oh man was i wrong!! now i believe in god(s).!!
thank you pbs for showing me the light!!
WTF!! like that is supposed to change the mind of a non believer.
that does not prove the existence of a god or gods.
so let me get this straight, now christians are using science to try and convince non believers?
how ironic.

Grammar APART:
When are you going to learn that it will take SO MUCH MORE than DNA mutations and alteration on both gene expression and protein translation for an organism to "evolve"?
As for the science, how much do YOU know?
I am curious
