Was drawing SSI and was put on Social Security Retirement early at age 62 without signing up?
My dad was drawing SSI and was denied Social Security Disability. Last month he was automatically placed on Social Security Retirement early at age 62 and according to Medicare he is not eligible for Medicare benefits until age 65. My questions are 1) Why was he put on early retirement at age 62 without signing up? 2)What other benefit programs can he qualify for if he has been dropped from Medicaid and doesn't qualify for Medicare until age 65?

If you have anything much at all you will not qualify for medicaid, but if you are on ss then you should automatically be on medicare, surely obama has not changed that already,,,I know someone who just went on ss and had to fill out a form for medicare but got it and he has GM retirement so there has to be a mix up somewhere, visit your SS office and see whats going on
