ok so i work for a law firm that handles real estate deals in Virginia me and three of my colleagues gave 1 week notice about quiting now we have gotten our checks but there not signed so what is the law firms obligation to pay us and how long do they have to cut and send us our checks ......what should we do legally we worked for our last pay period but we are thinking they will try to not pay us

It sounds like the lack of a signature was a pure oversight.If you take the checks back I am sure they will sign them. If they don't pay you you can file a claim with the state labor board.
