Does getting your bellybutton pierced hurt?

Hi there,I'm 14 years old and I realllyyyy want to get my bellybutton pierced. I have to wait until my 15th birthday [[in March]] to get it done, but I was wondering if it hurt a lot. Is it worth getting it done? And how can I convince my parents to let me?

-Thanksss(:

I got mine done when i was 18 I also have my tongue and a monroe. I have 17 piercings all together. I think that the belly button is the least painful, it pinches a lil but I think the clamp hurts the most, dont be scared just think of how much you get to enjoy it when its all healed. But honestly it really doesnt hurt. As far as you rents I dont know how they feel about that kinda stuff but you can do what i used to do just keep asking and buggin them until they give in lol.

Yea! If you are concerned about getting it done may be you shouldn't. My sis works in a tattoo place and she does ALL kinds of piercings. She says that about 25% or 1 in 4 get infected because the person does not follow the cleaning instructions. The Dr. bills can be more expensive than the piercing.

For me, it was not worth it. My bellybutton rejected the piercing, not once but twice. It looked super cute, it was just infected all the time. But remember that every girl is different, it might not happen to you.

How much it hurts depends on your pain tolerance. I have a very very low pain tolerance, and it was the worst pain I'd ever felt in my life, and that's including contractions and birth. It surprisingly doesn't stop me from getting more piercings and tattoos, I guess the pain makes me stronger.

Its one of the least painful piercings for most people. It also has a very high rate of rejection and some people's bellies aren't even able to be pierced. If your parents seem receptive to the piercing idea maybe strike a deal. Pierced navel for good grades or something similar. And let them research studios with you.

Apparently it hurts a lot. I don't know because i've not had it done but my cousin and friend has. I really don't see the point in getting it done because people aren't really going to see it. I think its a waste of money in having it done. Its usually covered by your clothes, the only time your going to see it is when your in a bikini or tankini. My friend actually had an infection in the piercing and was really ill after it. In fact she wished she hadn't had it done. If i was you i wouldn't have it done but its not my decision.

dont use pills for just a piercing thats how drug addicts come about...i didnt take pills and it was just a slight pinch, it only hurt afterwards if i somehow hit it, and i convinced my mom with a bribe.

it wont hurt a bit hun! first you need to take a few advil and a tylonol and u will be good to go. if you have painkillers from a previous surgery, then take those first. goodluck(:
