who likes country music if you do plz help?

I love country music too, among many other genres and hip hop is definitely not one of them!!! I think that if you love any genre, you should be able to talk about it, though there is honestly no need to demonstrate your taste...though i find it very comforting that there are still people with some sensibility. I thought all good music was dying out in the younger generations, thanks God that not true.

Getting into fistfights over these matters is simply not worth it. You should respect others rights to like the genres that they do and if anyone laughs at you for having good taste, that just shows their immaturity and lack of class. If I were you, I wouldn't get that emotional and defensive to get into fights...It seems as though this strong reaction would only trigger more resistance from others.

Don't worry, soon you'll be out of school (though I don't know what year you're in I know that it will be over faster than you could ever imagine) and you'll be in a world where all tastes are welcome.

I love country music too, and Im in the same situation as you. It really is not worth getting into a fight, I mean who cares if people call you a hillbilly or a redneck? I mean, yeah it's upsetting when people assume people who listen to country music are rednecks who have 2 teeth and chew on straw. Im not ashamed to say the first album I bought was a Tim McGraw cd, and Im not gonna apoligize because I like good music, that is understandable. Just wear like a Brad Paisley or Kenny Chesney pin or something on your backpack, or a shirt with Carrie Underwood on it. Just fit it in when it comes up, don't make it a big deal that you listen to country, otherwise people may see you as egotistical.

i personally adore both!

i like to listen to hip-hop when at parties, or in the car

and i like country to put me to sleep or just relaxing :)

I went into hip hop.

Became a weenie.

Then, ventured into rock.

Because I was made fun of.

So now...I listen to sad songs.
