Do dogs have dreams/nightmares?

Yes, some dogs do some don't if your dog is sleeping and it starts growling or making sounds than it has nightmares then yes.also it's very curious to know if dogs have dreams because people like us do and pets are the same as people they sneeze,eat ,make sounds,walk,run and kinds of stuff.

Yes, almost every dog i owned and every dog my dad and brothers have had move and sometimes make weird nosies in there sleep. It's perfectly normal. They dream and have nightmares just like us.

I normally just put my hand down and gently stroke her as to not startle her but know that I am there and she is only dreaming. All is ok, Mum is there and you are safe.

Yes dogs dream just like us. My dog has happy dreams where he is smiling in his sleep, and others where he is growling and sometimes he wakes up howling like he's scared. Either way when he wakes up I talk to him in a gentle voice and tell him he's ok and tell him to go back to sleep. He's fine just talk to him and he'll be ok. Sometimes it's kinda funny when they are lying there and running in their sleep. LOL..

As weird as it sounds, I think they do. My dog doesn't do it often but every once in a while he while whine and start kicking at something in the air.

yes. i saw a dog shaking it's leg while sleeping.It may be dreaming of chasing a cat.

i saw my dog sleeping, then it was moving its legs, like in its dream it was running!

most dogs do have dreams and it could be about anything but i assure u itz completely normal and very natural

yes my dog does that...he makes these like small quiet barks and twitches his legs...i think he's like chasing butterflies or something...
