Wondering why I feel so uncomfortable with skin exposed?
It's not a problem per se, but I'm intrigued by why this could be.
I'm a 17 year old girl, and my usual attire is sneakers, jeans, long sleeved tops and hoodies/coats. Experimenting with other clothes that expose more skin than my face and hands makes me feel uncomfortable. It's really just a nagging feeling which I can somewhat ignore if I have my lower legs exposed or arms, but anything else is not tolerable. As soon as I change back into something more covering though, I instantly feel more relaxed and calm. For example the part-time job where I work had a short-sleeved uniform, and I always felt vaguely unhappy, but recently they've changed it to a long-sleeved top, and I'm staggered by how much of a difference it makes!
Edit: I feel fine alone, though I prefer to wear covering clothes because I feel the cold very easily~

it is your genuine inner feeling control your actions, it is at the end your choice.
but a general question: why our forefathers were wearing long dressing, despite the lack of industry, they had the right wisdom how to live healthy and well protected from all bad and harm surroundings, it is something doesn't relate to religiouse thougts.
self assessment and high self-esteem, what best of????

That is totally normal, but usually, it's not that extreme! I feel this way if my top is low cut, or has exposed back. Also, i don't like wearing skirts that are too short.
But to help you i need to know something : does it bother you when you are alone, or is it just around people? either way, you need to get more comfortable with yourself. How can you enjoy the beach for example? it would be a shame not to have fun because of that.
Now i'm not saying you should always wear revealing clothes, as that is usually perceived as slutty, but maybe you could try when you're alone, to get used to seeing your skin? Also bear in mind that you are a much harder judge to yourself than others are!
hope this helped =)
