Career Stats Per Game

Lebron James

FG% = .471

3P% = .328

FT% = .738

RPG = 7.0

APG = 6.7

SPG = 1.8

BPG = 0.9

TPG = 3.3

PPG = 27.5

Efficiency = 26.2 PER

Kobe Bryant

FG% = .455

3P% = .341

FT% = .840

RPG = 5.3

ASP = 4.6

SPG = 1.5

BLK = 0.6

TPG = 2.9

PPG = 25.1

Efficiency = 23.64 PER

How do these stats convert per season if they both played 82 games per season? Lebron rebounds 139.4 more than kobe, Lebron dishes out assist 172.2 more than kobe, Lebron steals 24.6 more than kobe, Lebron blocks 24.6 more than kobe, Lebron commits turn-over 32.8 times more than kobe, and Lebron scores 196.8 more points than kobe. The only set-back lebron commits is his turn-over. Rolled them into one figure, lebron has higher efficiency rating than kobe.

Comment: Le bron is only 6 years into the league compared to kobe's 12 years and he already has achieve what kobe bryant achieved even more in the coming years, the only difference is the all-defensive team which is what most critics criticise of lebron (but starting 2009 his defense is finally coming) but apart from that he has already achieved what bryant achieved and base on his pace he can surpass bryants achievements.

Maybe its not right to say kobe is greater than le bron cause there's a 7 years difference, but Lebron is greater than kobe if we are to compare le bron's feat against kobe's feat during his first 6 years(except for the 3 rings courtesy of shaq).

Conclusion: When kobe retires and lebron plays the same number of years as kobe does, there will be no debate to this " Lebron is greater than Kobe".

Update:

im sorry its Kobe bryant vS Lebron James

    Kobe vs. Bryant? Anyways, I think that one possibility could be that we chould stop predicting and wait like another 11-12 years when Lebron and Kobe are both retired and then we can make some real comparisons.

    Source(s): Anything can happen in the NBA.

    Stats aren't everything; you need to watch both players. I can see Kobe has the upper hand right now, simply because he has more experience, skill, and just a smoother form. What makes Lebron do so well(especially with points) is his size, he can drive and penetrate like an absolute beast and no one wants to challenge him. :P He does great passing, but he still needs to work on things like his jump shot and his form. He's a great player, but not the best quite yet.

    But, in a few years when he reaches his prime, I am confident to say he will be better then Kobe ever was, as long as there are no freak accidents... Lebron is young right now and hasn't quite mastered the game, but when he has a few more years experience, he'll be unstoppable.

    The rings annoys me. Rings are a team accomplishment, and I think the only championship where Kobe actually led the team was last year, the other ones were courtesy of Shaq, like you said. Lebron was put on a terrible team and completely turned it around within a few years. He made it so that a team with a 29-52 go to 66-16 in only a couple seasons.

    You got the title wrong but I can agree with most of your reasoning.

    @Jessica: Kobe is not the same arrogant guy he used to be.....he's much more relaxed, calm, patient etc now. Even Magic and D. Fisher said Kobe is a different person now. What you doing is called "free hate" don't hold something against someone forever. The man has changed at least you can admit to that.

    well for one you don't know your stats cause kobe has been in the league 14 years this season 2 kobe won his first ring at a YOUNG age!

    wait doesn't lebron have shaq this year?

    Oh and aren't they different positions??

    I almost forgot one thing lebron only went to the finals 1 time!!!!

    KOBE!!

    Stats are not everything you know.

    btw: your q is 'Kobe vs Bryant?' & judging by your last q, your in kindergarten?

  • 1 decade ago

    kobe is annoying! he has a big head- literally and figuratively! lol.. and james is fine and has the greatest bball number ever.. plus you pretty much proved it with the stats up there.. even thou kobe beats him on some things you have to estimate what that stat will be for lebron in 7 years. take this one for example:

    NBA All-Star MVP

    Kobe Bryant = 3 (2002,2007,2009)

    Lebron James = 2 (2006-2008)

    it took kobe 13 years to get three.. lebron-in half the time- almost got him on this! at this rate- if he keeps being the superstar he is- over the next seven years he will have 2 or 3 more!

    and if you wanna look at it as is right now in the moment here is all you need to see:

    Kobe Bryant- Efficiency = 23.64 PER

    Lebron James- Efficiency = 26.2 PER

    point blank- you can't argue with that!! :)

    Lebron James is clearly the more efficient player.

    (Since they play different positions it's really impossible to compare the two, but their efficiency rating is the best indicator in measuring who the "better" player is.)

  • UMMM HEEEEL 2 THE NOO!!!! ALL I GOT 2 SAY IS AT THE END OF THE DAY KOBE KNOWS HOW TO "BRING IT" WHEN IT IS TIME FOR THE BIG GAMES AND LEBRON CLEARLY NEVER DOES!!!! SO KOBE WILL WIN ABOUT 1 OR 2 MORE CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS && LEBRON WILL HAVE NONE 2 ONE...

    CUZ THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER IS.....KOBE ALLLLLL FREAKING DAY!!!!!!!!!

    Kobe vs Bryant? You got the title wrong there.

    On the defensive end you gotta give it to Lebron. With his athleticism he is a beast. On the offensive side you have to give it to Kobe. Depending on who's better is not by stats, but how he plays the game. By the time Lebron is Kobe's age he won't have the speed/power to drive in the lane like how he use to. He can't rely too much on his athleticism. Lebron is too worried about his numbers and needs to focus on the game. He loses his rhythm because he wants to set his teammates up for his numbers. I've seen him play, and to me, he needs to worry less and focus more.
