My automatic door locks don't always unlock or lock?

OK, so this may be a complicated explanation, but I'm confused and don't know exactly what to do. I have a 1999 Honda Civic that I love. Now that it's winter, the automatic door locks don't always unlock or lock when I press the appropriate buttons from my remote. Sometimes it's only the passengers side door, sometimes it's all but the drivers side door. The only thing that seems to effect it is when the car is cold. If the car is warm, it seems to work just fine. Is it just my car showing its age or is it something that perhaps the dealer can fix? The batteries are fine in my remote opener, so I know it's not that. Additionally, when I hit the unlock button on the inside to try to encourage opening the passenger side door, it often times takes me hitting it about 4 times before the door is fully unlocked. Help!

Update:

I actually really like my Honda. It has 150,000 miles on it and it still runs really well. If the locks are the only thing to go, that's not too bad. I'm driving this car until it's wheels fall off :)

i'd try to locate (owner's manual) for the power door locks relay and replace it first, don't think they're testable, not expensive, local parts store can probably be a big help.

My son gave me a Honda and it's been a POS! Your problem is the same as mine. It's the door solenoids that are bad. I had all of them fixed and it was expensive! Also, had transmission and engine leaks and cost me over $1,000 to fix. Why did you buy a Honda in the first place? I have a Buick with over 250,000 and had no problems. My son made that same mistake by being lied to about the high quality of Honda's and his next car was a Chevrolet and hasn't had any problems. Plus, it's made in America.

i don't comprehend the question. Are you asserting that your contemporary automatic lock no longer works and you may desire to change it? i might touch some domicile safety experts like ADT and see what they have...
