Which is harder: The original Super Mario Bros. or the first Legend of Zelda?

Ah the memories...Zelda will be more difficult as it takes more thought regarding puzzles and quests. SMB is just a mind-numbing push-through.

Legend of Zelda is infinitely harder. I beat Super Mario Bros. hundreds of times, and haven't even gotten past the fifth dungeon on the original Zelda title.

The first Zelda game is a bit of a challenge. I've always found the Super Mario Bros. games quite easy.

It depends on what you mean by "harder".

If you're talking about getting frequently killed by your enemies, I would say that SMB is slightly harder than Legend of Zelda.

However if by harder you are referring to the mechanism of the gameplay, in that case Legend of Zelda is harder than SMB.

the orgenial mario bros was easy as hell lol so defently zelda. all mario games are easy but also fun.

The first Legend of Zelda is harder in my opinion :)

I beat Super Mario Bros. easily actually when I was little but two games that I couldn't beat even till this day is Legend of Zelda and Metal Gear. Tha's right? I couldnt' get past the first level. How patethic I am yet I mastered MGS 1,2 and 3. 4 is my next victory.

This and Bionic Commando. I loved and hated that game.

It's been 16 years and I still never beat Super Mario Bros (Nes). On the other hand, I never played the first Legend of Zelda. But If I can beat Super Mario Bros one day I would be glad to call myself an accomplished gamer.

Zelda is waaaaayy harder ;)
