I have swollen lymph nodes on the left side of my head and milky white spots on my tonsils; what causes this?

I have been on Augmentin 875 mg for about 5 days now for a bad sinus infection which has since all but gone away and developed a bad throat pain 2 days into the antibiotic which resulted in swollen lymph nodes on the left side of my head. Ever since then, I have noticed more milky white patches on both tonsils with the left tonsil looking very inflammed. I was told this wasn't a fungal infection and it could be viral. Any ideas?

Okay, I have a entire extraordinary reply for this query. About 15 years in the past, I had the identical precise factor, besides mine harm a bit bit and it have been there for approximately 6 months earlier than I stated it to any one. It peculiarly harm while I ate some thing or even if I swallowed (now not like a sore throat). When I swallowed, it grew to become a bit larger. I used to be eventually despatched to an ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat Specialist) who identified it as a cyst in my submandibular gland. Yes, it needed to be eliminated, considering that I used to be having drawback consuming and swallowing. I had surgical procedure, had it eliminated and by no means had an extra drawback with it, till approximately three years in the past, while I had one at the different facet of my neck! Had it eliminated surgically and also have been lump loose for three years! This is without doubt whatever you must keep on most sensible of, simply in case it's extra severe. Best of success on your brother. Hopefully, it's extra realistic than what I had!
