Does anyone think the Bengals and/or the Colts will throw their games to keep the Steelers out?

Update:

You are right..I mean the Patriots.

I hope they wouldn't throw the game...but I have been hearing rumors. I am a Steeler fan that lives in Dallas. I agree that the Steelers have put themselves in this position and don't deserve a spot unless they are going to work their tails off to make it. And they need help from these 2 teams.

I was just wondering if anyone believes these rumors, so far no one does :)

Nobody is going to "throw their games."

I'm pretty sure you meant Bengals and Patriots since the Colts have nothing to do with the Steelers.

I keep hearing that the Bengals and Patriots may rest their starters at some point but I'm not sure I believe that since both of them still have a shot at the 3 seed. I know 3 seed instead of 4 seed isn't that big of a deal but it seems more important than getting 15-30 minutes of rest for your starters.

    Go Steelers!

  • no Steelers aren't very intimidating their record in road games this year is 2-6 it's not the bengals or colt's fault Steelers went on 5 game losing streak against 2nd rate teams such as chiefs , Raiders , Browns hell they even lost to the bears and they made jay cutler look like an accurate quarterback as far as the league is corncerned it's the Steelers fault they diddn't make playoffs but colts don't matter they actually need patriots to beat texans belicheck is planning to play starters they win they clinch no.3 seed meaning bengals will have no reason whatsoever to play starters

Absolutely not. Teams play to win...or they rest starters to prepare for playoffs. This whole notion of any NFL team ever "throwing a game" is silly. Any coach/owner who allows that thought to even be entertained is setting themselves up for disappointment, and quite frankly has no business being in the "NFL Business."

yes. The steelers can be the most dangerous wild card, and especially if palomalu is ready for the playoffs

No. The Colts are going to sit their starters just like last week. It doesn't have anything to do with keeping any other team out of the playoffs. It has everything to do with keeping the Colts healthy and fresh for the playoffs.

The Bengals may rest their starters too. But with the #1 ranked D, the Jets could very well beat the Bengals even if they didn't.

When Ward said what he said about Roethlisberger, I knew the Steelers would be out of it this year.

The Steelers have only themselves to blame for not making the playoffs. Your team lost to the Browns! Sorry, but this year your team will not have a chance to buy itself some Super Bowl officials.
