a.) some horses differ, I think I would try a snaffle D ring bit, or a twisted D ring bit.

b.) rotate days or them, or figure how much time you have for them each day and split up the time and figure out what your going to work with them on for that day ahead of time.

c.) new years resolutions for my horse for 2010 is to get her to w/t/c undersaddle, take her in more shows, ride bareback more, and possibly jump her.

depends on the horse, being an ex racer doesnt really have anything to do with what bit he should use now.

    ride both horses every day

i dont make new years resolutions, i hate them :)

I am not sure about the bit, but you can trail one horse beind the other and ride the front one which will get them both moving. As for ym newyears resolution I plan to get an actual farm so my horse can live with me and not be boarded.

    Hope this helped!

i use a snaffle on my ex racer and just work them both, or you could try working one one day and the other the next or pony! that's always fun!

mine is to get the horse i want very badly
