Skier, need help convincing my parents to move.?

Alright so basically I'm a skier and I live in a boring suburb in southeastern N.Y. It barely snows here, and there are no ski resorts near my house. The closest major resorts are Loon Mtn. in New Hampshire or Mt. Snow in Vermont. I love skiing as much as the next guy/girl...maybe more. For so long I have been trying to convince my parents to move and, obviously, they have been relatively unresponsive. I need better arguments to support moving (primarily emphasizing the awesomeness of skiing and its benefits). Any suggestions? Thanks - help a fellow skier out.

Start with a list of the residences near where you would like to live. Get the prices of those homes, also try to find the wages of anyone in the area in your skill set and those of your parents. When you can balance all 3 of those items you might be able to discuss the move with a rational basis of how it can be done. Living in a ski resort is expensive, the wages are low and those are the facts of life. If you want to live in a ski resort, try to figure a way you can afford it. In 50+ years I haven't been able to for myself.

Ask your parents to send you to one of the ski schools in VT such as the Stratton Mountain School or the Okemo Mountain School.

There are others, some cheaper, some more expensive.
