Picking baby's coming home outfit?
Even though our baby is due in May (it's a boy!), I can't help but think ahead towards what to pack for baby to come home. I've been browsing different newborn retailers, but a few questions keep coming up.
Odds are there'll be plenty of friends and family and cameras flying, which means I should pick an outfit carefully. But I'm not sure what's best. I've seen lots of pairs of baby jeans and khakis, which look so cute, but how comfy is that for a newborn? On the other hand, I could dress baby in footie sleepers, but is that an ok outfit for car travel? The good thing is that I have more options, since May is a pretty warm month where I live. So far, I'm leaning towards baby jersey pants and a printed onesie or tee, which seem most comfy. What did you moms dress your newborn in when leaving the hospital? Thanks!

I had the same dilema with my first born. I brought the pretty dress and all but when it came down to it we just put her in a onesie and a pair of cotton pants (July in AZ). When they're that small you realize very quickly that they'll be living in sleepers for the first month anyway so dressing them cutely is a waste of time. It's not until they're about 6wks when they can start holding their head up a bit that you feel comfortable enough to start dressing them differently. Well....at least for me.

I delivered my son homestead in a onesie with out issues. It became greater of basically getting the surprising diaper that had that area decrease out so as that the fringe of the diaper wasn't rubbing precise on that area. The onesie did no longer issue him in any respect via fact it coated the entire area and did no longer meet precise at that place. i could propose finding a new child length for his/her coming homestead outfit. oftentimes the 0-3 months would be slightly super. My son became 7 pounds and eight oz. while he became born and for the 1st few weeks basically wore the baby sizes. there have been a pair of the baby sizes that have been nevertheless slightly super. regrettably, in some circumstances the dimensions that they say on the tags are different from one style to a different so a good distance as somewhat length is going.

I put him in a cute Mickey Mouse all in one suit that poppers up the front. I didn't want to put a waistband around his stomach as I didn't want to irritate his umbilical cord or have anything pressing on his stomach in general.
You can use blankets to keep the baby warm and then remove them when in the car as its warmer and you don't want the baby to get too hot.
Congratulations on the pregnancy of your little man!!!

im due any day and I packed a sleep n play outfit that is cute. I packed a newborn outfit and a 0-3 months outfit cause you never know the weight and size. I would consider the weather big time cause my cute outfit is going to be covered with a cute pink bear snow suit. I hope this helped a little. It gets so hard choosing what to pack in general. I got mom yelling at me to pack light cause the hospital provides everything but I want to pack all the things I want anyway. Good luck

My first son was born at the end of may and we dressed him in a cute onesie(as it was almost 90 degrees out)
My second son was born nov 17 of this year and I dressed him in a fleece sleeper that had cute little giraffe on it.

My mom dressed me in a onesie and blanket (I was a late October baby). Since you're in May, even pants may be too warm. When I was young, i frequently was hot. I say go with your favorite onesie and keep a blanket on hand just in case! Good luck with your little guy~
