How can I make my straight hair wavy?

I don't know a lot about hair styling so please be patient with me.

Ok I have perfectly straight hair and I really like it but every now and then a change would be nice. I like hair with wide waves but I can never get it right. I hate curling irons and they always make smaller curles and not waves like I want. How do I get pretty wavy hair?

Oh I somewhat have the comparable issue!! i do no longer propose perms via fact the chemical compounds are somewhat unfavourable! Your different selection is to apply a curling iron with a thick barrel (a million.5"). i comprehend you reported you haven't any longer have been given time yet this methodology takes 10 minutes and is easy. Spray your dried hair with some heart protectant and divide it into 5-8 super sections. be conscious some wax on the dimensions. commencing on the fringe of the roots, wrap the hair around the tong and carry it in a vertical place for about 10 seconds. launch the hair from the tong and carry it collectively because it cools (or use a pin to maintain it rolled collectively as to circulate to the subsequent area). while the hair is accomplished and funky, run your hands on your hair to break the super curls into smaller ones and spray a mist of hair spray! Voila!

Get a wavy perm. Bring in a picture to the salon to show them how wavy you want your hair and they should be able to match it. Hope this helps!

okay, so this is how i do it and it seems to work awesomely! (:

so shower the night before you want your hair like that, don't dry your hair, well towel dry it, but don't have it very dry. next you get a curl sculpting spray, i like the ones from gardiner fructis, then you sray it all over and for wide waves twist a thick peice of hair around your finger then pin it up, do this with all of your hair, spray a little more curl sculpting spray in all over, then sleep with it over night and in the morning un pin it, make sure its dry(blow dryer) and then it should be nice and wavy.

(: hope this is what you wanted.!

a cool technique to get nice waves is braiding your hair wet before you sleep. What you do is take a quick shower, just to shampoo your hair and get it wet. Then you can either french braid or regular braid and tie it off. The tighter and more braids you do, the smaller the waves will be, so for you you might want to just do 2 or 3 loose braids. Then, in the morning, take out the ties and DONT BRUSH IT unless you want a very loose style. If you dont, just run your fingers through it. and... tada!! you have a wicked wavy hairstyle!

it looks a bit like this:

Source(s): expirience. i got really nice wide waves :) hope it helps!!

Get a crimping iron spray the hair first comb thru start with underneath layer starting at the crown and work your way down the hair.Time the iron on your hair about ten seconds per crimp.

  • After washing, plait your hair in sections (6-8) and leave overnight.

When you wake up the next morning, undo the plaits, dont brush your hair, but just run your fingers through it with a little hairspray, and your hair should end up something like this - http://www.olsen-twins-news.com/showpic/newsimages...

This is a great way to create waves, as it requires no heat - therefore causes zero damage! ;D

Good luck honey! and have a happy new year! :D x

You could try heated rollers, a cylinder shape that you heat according to there instructions and place in your hair
