My hamster Winston has been hoarding all his food in his cheeks for hours and his face keeps getting bigger and bigger. Its normal for him to stuff food in there (like all hamsters), but i've NEVER seen ANY hamster do this!

Is it possible for a hamster to stuff his cheeks so full that he can't get it back out? He's been like this for hours.

I've taken in a lot of rats in need of a home. I currently have 23. As you can imagine, food can be quite expensive. They don't even like half the crap in the the store bought bags. I've heard you can give them dog or cat food.

What kind of dog/cat food is best?

What else do I use for my homemade mix?

I know there are a lot of rattie lovers on here! What do you guys use?

A friend of mine has high blood pressure. I don't remember his exact numbers off hand but i know he's well into stage two hypertension both systolic and diastolic.

Looking for a medical opinion or even from someone with experience on the matter.

-He's only 24.

-His BP is REALLY high.

-He weighs about 250lbs, (gained most of it within the past year)

-He's a smoker, smoking about a pack a day. He started when he was about 14.

-He almost NEVER exercises.

-He eats unhealthy. Mostly meat and deep fried foods and a lot of it at a time.

-He has a really bad temper.

-He sweats a lot and it doesn't take much to make him sweat.

-He sometimes feels pain in his chest when overexerting himself (sometimes it only takes as much as walking upstairs)

-He hasn't seen a doctor since he was a kid, and refuses to see one or go on pills.

Me and his family have been trying to convince him to see a doctor and change his lifestyle to improve his health but he's pretty set in his ways.

My questions are: what are the consequences of this? What could happen to him and in how long until it does?

I hate having to wash my hair everyday but if I go for longer than 24 hours it looks like I haven't washed it in days. My hair isn't really oily or anything and it gets clean good after washing, it just doesn't stay that way for very long.

I don't know a lot about hair styling so please be patient with me.

Ok I have perfectly straight hair and I really like it but every now and then a change would be nice. I like hair with wide waves but I can never get it right. I hate curling irons and they always make smaller curles and not waves like I want. How do I get pretty wavy hair?

I had to separate a sick rat and I used pine for the bedding. I noticed a few days later she had little bugs on her. She didn't have them before and I have other rats and they are all clean. Could there have been mites in the pine? Its the only thing I could think of.

I threw it away just in case but it's weird to think the bedding's where it came from.

Her teeth are out of line, causing them to overgrow. I've been trimming them and that seems to help her eat but they also seem a bit loose. After I trimmed them she could eat better but still only softer foods. She won't eat soft dog food and I don't want her to become unhealthy. If her teeth are loose is there anything I can do about it? I want her to be able to eat crunchy food again.

My rat has been loosing a lot of weight and I recently found out why. Her teeth are overgrown and she can't chew food. I gave her soft food that she can eat in the mean time but can I trim her teeth?

I'll take her to the vet if I have to but I heard you can trim them at home easily.

Have any of you ever done this?

I have the clippers for it but I've never done teeth before.

The top teeth are very long and are starting to curve back into her mouth. The bottom teeth are also very long. Both pairs of teeth are still together and not curving away from one another.

I'm selling a really big heavy textbook on ebay but under shipping it says the maximum price i can put for shipping is $4.00. As its going to cost me more than $4.00 to ship I want to charge more for shipping but it says it won't post my item if its more than the max shipping price.

What do I do?

I posted a question awhile ago about my rat who popped open her stitches. I'm definately taking her to the vet in the morning to get it restitched but I want to know if they can do that while she's awake or do they have to knock her out for it?

It was a small incision to remove a tumor that only had about 2 stitches but I noticed its wide open now. Its quite raw looking but its not really bleeding. I've been keeping an eye on her but what should I do? Is it ok to let it heal on its own? Should I take her to the vet to have it restitched? If so is it ok to wait till morning to take her?

There isn't any blood in her cage. Like I said its not really bleeding. Her cage is clean by the way I just cleaned her.

I adopted some rats and a few of them only have partial tails. I think the person who i got them from rescued some of them so I assumed they were abused before she got them. She didn't know what happened to them. Are there other reasons why a rat might have only half a tail other than abuse?

I bought some pumpkins that were labeled for cooking/baking. Does this mean they don't have seeds? Why are they different from regular pumpkins?
