Please View My Desktop Background.?
I've created a new style of desktop background. Specifically, it acts like a template for your desktop icons. I'm including the link(s) to view both, the template background and a screen shot to see what it looks like with icons. Please tell me what you think - about this background and about the idea of a template background in general.

If you would like to have one email me at: john_shutters@yahoo.com and include your screen resolution (ie.,1680 x 1050) and I'll email one to you for your monitor.

Hey...
This is... more than great... You did a real hard work to do that and I think its Great...
So let me get this...
The icons on the desktop will be restricted to appear in backgrounds circles? And the gadgets will be restricted to appear in the light blue spaces?
Also, can you do the same but with other back grounds?
Oh last question... Is it hard to do it?
But in general.. this is a great work...
I will be waiting for more feedback from you.. This is really interesting...

Looks nice, I like the Getting Things Done background (http://anabubula.com/files/GTD_mindmap_wall.jpg ) - yours looks nice (It's aimed at a different use, getting things done is more orginisation, and this is more optimized towards finding programs.
I wouldn't use it myself, my style of launching programs is a combination of launchy (that allows you to press alt+ space and type the start of a program's name, and it launches it) and rocketdock (a dock menu for windows, that appears when I bring my mouse to the top of the screen). Therefore I hardly ever look at my desktop, as everything is a couple of keystrokes or a mouse click away.
