    it starts in 2000. so start by counting 2000 up to 2009 and thats 10 years.

    I think thats what you were wondering.

    The year 2000 counts as the first year.

    That's when everyone went crazy about the new millennium, and it was also the start of the decade.

    2000

    2001

    2002

    2003

    2004

    2005

    2006

    2007

    2008

    2009

    = 10 years

    A decade is counted as ten years starting with the same decimal number.

    The 00s are over, now we're starting the 10s, which run from 2010 to 2019.

    because you forgot to count the year 2000. theres 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009. count that. that's 10 years

    We were told the world will end in 1970 it is still here.but it going at a very fast pace If you look at the seaside towns that are being swallowed by the sea UK. Australia Nobody knows this only the Lord humans are just trying to scare the hell out of us

    Yeah i thought that as well!! i was confused, but think back to the end of 1999, and the craze over the new millenium thats how it goes. And were officially 10 years away from that point aren't we

    Because the Gregorian calendar is screwed up. They started AD at year 1 instead of year 0, and that has us off by one year ever since. :(

    i was told the same meteor that killed the dinosaurs would come back in 2012 and destroy everyone. LOL the national geographic channel
