Iranians plz: i have a friend?

who is egyptian, and he wants to visit Iran soooooooooooo much, but the problem is that there is no Iranian Embassy in Egypt to obtain an entry visa to Iran, are egyptians prohibited to go to Iran? and if no, how can he gets thers as there is no Iranian embassy to get the visa? please, waiting for your answers!!! and thnx

@ Janette: i am not iranian or live in Iran, i am half egyptian, half italian, and currently living in Italy, but i asked this question for my friend, coz he is fascinated about Persia, but due to current political crisis, he thinks that Iran would not issue visas for egyptians, coz egyptians are not welcomed there

    Iran and Egypt has not full diplomatic relation but they have diplomatic offices in their capitals.

    Ask your friend to go to the following address or just give a call. In some cases, Egyptian Interest Section in Tehran issue visa for Iranians. Hopefully, Iranian side also do the same!

    For what I know about similar situations: people have to go to a country nearby with an Iranian embassy to apply for visa. If he really is desperate to come to Iran, it might be worth thinking about it. I just don't know how long the application period will take. He should call them up first for more information.

    He does have to make sure that he gets an invitation letter from somebody living in Iran (could be you) with an address where he will stay in Iran.

    I have some acquaintances in Iran that are in a metal band. They are constantly harassed by some sort of morals police.

    I'm not sure but he might be able to come to Iran from another country like Syria, Turkey ...
